Useful Information About Liposuction

Why Send Pictures Before Travelling Abroad for Plastic Surgery?

Children & Plastic Surgery

Working in the medical travel field, I get to meet many people who are interested in medical procedures, but cosmetic surgery is the one that strikes me every time. People with great faces and great bodies still want to undertake surgery for that next step forward. I do understand that everybody wants to look great, and therefore feel great, but an article really caught my eye recently. Don’t get me wrong, I could not offer a service I don’t believe in, but what I do feel is that there needs to be a “need”, be it psychological or physical, not just a “want” in order to have plastic surgery.

According to naturalnews.com, 160,000 U.S. children had cosmetic surgery in 2008. Amongst the most sought after procedures we find breast augmentation, liposuction and Botox injection. This is when I decided to do some research on the subject. There are forums loaded with teenagers interested in cosmetic surgery and there’s no surprise that breast augmentation and liposuction were the most debated subjects. Moreover, parents feel that if they can have these surgery procedures, why wouldn’t their children have them?
