This entry is written in reply to BBC’s article on Romanian Healthcare using a grim approach and a very sad story.
I’m sure a lot of people have come across BBC’s report on the Romanian Healthcare System – for those who haven’t I will include a link to it.
I wish the BBC would have used a comparison system between the rate of infections in public hospitals in Romania and that of infections in public hospitals in Europe or indeed in the UK. I’ll give you a hint I got from reading media related articles:
Romania has a hospital infection rate between 2% and 10% depending on hospital size and location while Britain stands at 9% average. I believe Romania is well within the European average.
